Fairfield, Conn, October 23, 2014] Just in time for Thanksgiving the Fairfield Public Libraryis hosting its monthly DIY Craft Salon at the Fairfield Woods Branch Library, 1147 Fairfield Woods Road on Saturday, November 1at 11 a.m. This month we will be making a wooden sign for Thanksgiving; however, once you learn the technique you could adapt the skills for any decorating project. You will learn to stain, sand, mod podge and put together a beautiful sign for Thanksgiving. This craft could get messy, so dress accordingly. The craft salon is for people 18 years and older. 11:44pm--#Fairfield CT--I guess someone can't pay the bill because the fire alarm has been pulled at the Seagrape in the bar area on Reef Road. Here come a bunch of firetrucks and police. Fairfield News: Fire at Warde High School
2:50pm--#Ctfire--Fairfield CT--Firefighters were on scene for a activated fire alarm in the Fitts Tunnel underneath the school. The school day was over but it was evacuated by those with after school programs when firifghters arrived. Firefighters discovered smoke in the tunnel and quickly called for additional firefighters to the scene. It turned out to be motor that caught fire and was quickly extinguished it. Fairfield News: Trunk or Treat To Benefit McKinley PTA
McKinley’s PTA will be hosting Trunk or Treat at Fairfield Warde High School parking lot on Saturday, October 26th from 2pm-5pm. This event is open to the town. Over 30 cars will be decorating their trunks and passing out candy and treats to children who go from car to car. The cost is $5.00 per child. All proceeds go to McKinley’s PTA. Rain Date is Sunday, October 27th 2pm-5pm. I covered this last year and the kids had a blast!
