Author Vivien Shotwell to visit Fairfield Public Library

She will be discussing her book at 7 pm in the Memorial Room of the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road. When Vivien Shotwell was an undergraduate studying at Williams College, her voice teacher assigned her the haunting aria “Non temer, amato bene,” written by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart for English soprano Anna Storace on her departure from Vienna. Charity Craft at Fairfield Public Library Woods Branch

[Fairfield, CT, February 21, 2014] The Fairfield Public Library is hosting its monthly DIY Craft Salon at the Fairfield Woods Branch Library, 1147 Fairfield Woods Road on Saturday, March 1 at 11 a.m. This month we will work on a project that will support cancer survivors. Alexandra Currie will be the presenter for this salon. She is the owner of a little square LLC in Fairfield and creator of the Pink Pom Pom Project, a crafting initiative that seeks to help those affected by cancer. The demonstration will take place from 2:30 to 3:30 pm on the main floor of Fairfield Woods Branch Library, 1147 Fairfield Woods Road. If you are interested in smocking, heirloom sewing and fine needle arts this is the demonstration you don’t want to miss.
