Swim Across the Sound Salutes Fire Chief

“A local name that carries a special ring is Felner. Stratford News: Sikorsky contract modification presidental

#Stratford CT--Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., Stratford, Conn., is being awarded a $10,906,165 modification to an existing delivery order against a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (N00019-07-D-0004) for security and integrated logistic support in support of the VH assistant program manager for logistics for the VH-3D and VH-60N presidential helicopters.  Work will be performed in Stratford, Conn. (88 percent) and Quantico, Va. (12 percent), and is expected to be completed in November 2014.  Fiscal 2014 operations and maintenance, Navy contract funds in the amount of 10,906,165 will be obligated at time of award, all of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Bridgeport News: Two Men Face Charges for an ATM Theft

#Bridgeport, CT – Feb. 10, 2014 – Two men face burglary and larceny charges in connection with the theft of an ATM machine.  The ATM was stolen from 1191 Central Ave. on Jan. 23 and later found damaged and discarded. Detectives Walberto Cotto, Dave DeFeo, Angel Llanos, John Pribesh and Sgt. James Pianello investigated the case. The investigation remains active as detectives work to determine if the suspects are responsible for other ATM thefts.  Additional arrests of other suspects are expected. Carlos Deleon, 56, and Anthony Villafane, 29, both of Bridgeport, face charges of third-degree burglary, third-degree larceny and first-degree criminal mischief.

Police Seek Public’s Help in Locating Missing Person

#Bridgeport, CT – Feb. 10, 2014– Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a missing person. Davin Paulk, 23, was last seen on Feb. 5, 2014.  Davin is 5 foot 10 inches tall and weighs approximately 230 pounds.  He has a tattoo with the word “Davin” on his right forearm and a tattoo with the words “Death before Dishonor” on his left forearm.  Davin has a disability due to a gunshot wound  and is in need of medical attention for a seizure disorder. Davin was last seen Stamford on Wednesday Feb. 5. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the police department at 203-576-7671.
