Fairfield Assists New Business Venture

#Fairfield November 23, 2015 - The Fairfield Department of Community & Economic Development is pleased to announce its latest micro-enterprise assistance grant awarded The Cup Bearer, LLC. The grant will enable The Cup Bearer to  urchase equipment and defray marketing costs associated with this new business venture. The Cup Bearer provides its clients withe bespoke cocktail catering services for private parties, corporate events and other functions.  Founded by  ntrepreneur, Justin Pasha, The Cup Bearer has quickly become a local favorite for all those wishing to create a memorable event. Justin also creates handcrafted leather goods and other tools specific to the world of mixology. soundRunner held their  grand opening of their store this week.  It is a a running store and more--located at 1596 Post Road in Fairfield.  SoundRunner recently opened their fourth store in Fairfield in space formerly occupied by Media Wave, and celebrated a ribbon cutting this past week.    We are delighted to welcome soundRunner to the Fairfield business community. Look Who’s Doing It Local!

The tooth at All Kids Dental located at 2566 Main Street made a good IMPRESSION with me when we met with them yesterday.  When I first walked in to the office I noticed right away the kid friendly waiting room and throughout the office and treatment rooms.  They really did put their money where their MOUTH is by posing for this photo !  I know this all kids dental office will set kids and parent's mind at ease of easing the fears that dental care does not have to be frightening.  They accept all insurances including Husky and they also speak Spanish and Portuguese.  It was quite apparent that they have a genuine concern for treating children and setting them…

Heather Elizabeth Bernard, lost her mother to breast cancer in 2008. She has been participating in multiple cancer awareness events through out her life. This year Heather is participating in AVON 39 The Walk to End Breast Cancer. She will be training to strengthen her body to walk over 39 miles in two days. Heather will also be raising funds to crush breast cancer. Heather is required to raise at least $1,800.00 to earn her 39, but she plans to raise much more. We are counting on everyones support. Grand Opening of Artista Studios in Bridgeport

Today, Mayor Bill Finch celebrated the grand opening of Artista Studios and Monument Works, a new small business registered with the City of Bridgeport’s Small & Minority Business Resource Office (SMBRO.) Artista Studios produces custom design monuments, artwork, and dimensional stone both for the monument industry and religious and spiritual industry.   Owner Jim Bria is originally from Fairfield county and has worked in the stone business for 40 years in the area.
