I-95 Shutdown, Bridgeport Back Roads Backing Up
3:03pm–#Bridgeport CT–#Stratford CT–#cttraffic–I was just at 1406 State Street at Copy Break and traffic was already backing up due to the I-95 closure in Stratofrd. I even tried North Avenue but it was the same, heavy traffic heading northbound.

9:41am–#Stratford CT– Report of a structure fire at 570 James farm Road. Firefighters on scene reporting light smoke coming out of the chimney.
Stratford News: Minor Fire On Minor Avenue
1:34pm–#Stratford CT– It was a busy afternoon for first responders in Stratford. First an oil truck rolled over at Broadbridge Avenue and Second Hill Lane causing a hazmat situation. Mutual aid from area towns were called to back fill the emptied fire station attending to the hazamat.
A short time later firefighters were called to Minor Avenue for a garage fire, the garage is attached to the home. The fire was minor and the homeowner had the fire pretty much out when firefighters arrived. Firefighters checked for extensions. The radio was busy with procedure protocol if this was a larger fire that would have required more assistance from surrounding towns. Fortunately it was not needed.

12:22am–#Bridgeport CT #cttraffic #Stratford CT– Lots of police activity on I-95 northbound for a car wanted on motor vehicle charges. The officer and passerby have reported numerous items thrown out the window starting at exit 28. The pursuit ended at exit 31.
