Stratford News: Bank Robbery

#Stratford Connecticut–Around 8:15 A.M. Stratford Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at TD Bank on Ferry Blvd. near Main St.  A female making a cash deposit was approached by a white male armed with a hand gun who robbed her of about $2,000.00.  The male fled to a waiting gray 2005 Lexus RX330 bearing CT 885TTA being operated by a black male.  The vehicle was stolen on 1/3/17 in Bridgeport.

Another bank robbery occurred at the TD Bank at Old Town and Main Street in Bridgeport.  An arrest was made and Detective Captain Fitzgerald of the Bridgeport Police said an arrest was made and he believes the two bank robberies were related.

 

 

 

Bridgeport/Stratford News: Bank Robber In Custody

8:30am– #Stratford Connecticut–#Bridgeport Connecticut– The Key Bank at  225 Hawley Lane in Stratford and the TD Bank at Old Town and Main Street were robbed.  A silver handgun was shown during the robberies.   Police were looking for a gray SUV.  Just after 10:30am Bridgeport Police took one in custody.  Captain Brian Fitzgerald said they believe the man they arrested is also responsible for the robbery in Stratford.

Creative Starts Learning Center Is Doing It Local!

I had fun meeting the children and staff at the Creative Starts Learning Center at 2189 Barnum Avenue in Stratford yesterday.  The kids loved seeing the Interstate race car and the staff was quick to be creative and had the children identify the colors of the car and  the number on the car.  Their favorite sticker on the car was the M&M bag–mine too!

 

I asked director Marta Saklawska to describe here facilities, she said:

At Creative Starts Learning Center we strive to provide a healthy and safe environment that allows children to grow and learn through a variety of physical, social, emotional and intellectual activities. We provide care for children 6 weeks to 12 years old with individual programs for infants, toddlers, preschool, pre-k and before/after school. Our wonderful group of teachers are trained in First Aid, CPR, and to administer medication. We are licensed by the Connecticut Office of Early Childhood.

With two Childcare Centers located in Stratford, Creative Starts Learning Center serves families in the areas of Stratford, Bridgeport and surrounding towns. We are located just off exit 32 on I95, and blocks away from the Stratford Metro-North Train Station”.

Stratford News: Jeep Hits Building

12:45pm– Stratford News: A jeep hit the Krauszer’s at 20 Westchester Drive (off Kenyon Street).  The driver said they lost their brakes causing the crash.  EMS was called for an employee inside the had a leg injury but the employee turned down medical treatment.  The building inspector and the health department was called to the scene.
