Stratford News: Sexual Assault

On 01-20- 2017 Maher Mahairi, 52, of Fairfield, manager of the Honeyspot Road Dunkin Donuts, was charged Friday with fourth-degree sexual assault. A 19-year- old female employee reported to officers that Mahairi began making sexual comments towards her. The complainant alleges that Mahairi then grabbed her from behind. Police said another employee told them he heard the young woman scream and she told him Mahairi had grabbed her behind. Mahairi denied grabbing the woman and police said when they later checked the video surveillance system there was a gap in the video for the time the woman claimed she was assaulted. He was released after posting $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Court on 01-27- 2017. (Stratford…

Stratford News: Pedestrian Killed

UPDATE:  Carmen Flores-Carrillo is the woman who was struck by the car on 01-24-2017.  The incident is still under investigation and there is nothing further to report at this time. #Stratford Connecticut--On 01-24- 2017 an accident occurred on Longbrook Avenue near Paterson Avenue. The incident involved a vehicle striking a pedestrian who was crossing the roadway. The 64 year old female pedestrian was transported to Bridgeport Hospital where she was later pronounced dead. The scene is still under investigation to determine the cause and any possible charges.

Stratford News: Bank Robbery

#Stratford Connecticut--Around 8:15 A.M. Stratford Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at TD Bank on Ferry Blvd. near Main St.  A female making a cash deposit was approached by a white male armed with a hand gun who robbed her of about $2,000.00.  The male fled to a waiting gray 2005 Lexus RX330 bearing CT 885TTA being operated by a black male.  The vehicle was stolen on 1/3/17 in Bridgeport. Stratford Police Press Release Another bank robbery occurred at the TD Bank at Old Town and Main Street in Bridgeport.  An arrest was made and Detective Captain Fitzgerald of the Bridgeport Police said an arrest was made and he believes the two bank robberies were related.  …

Bridgeport/Stratford News: Bank Robber In Custody

8:30am-- #Stratford Connecticut--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- The Key Bank at  225 Hawley Lane in Stratford and the TD Bank at Old Town and Main Street were robbed.  A silver handgun was shown during the robberies.   Police were looking for a gray SUV.  Just after 10:30am Bridgeport Police took one in custody.  Captain Brian Fitzgerald said they believe the man they arrested is also responsible for the robbery in Stratford.   This news report is made possible by:
