1:34am--#Bridgeport CT--Man shot in the back on Grant Street. Shooter fled in a car towards Boston Avenue. Police and EMS on the way. UPDATE--Police reporting the man was grazed by the bullet and he is not seriously injured.
1:09am--#Fairfield CT--Sacred Heart is the first on the board for the new semester with an alleged intoxicated male with a hand laceration after punching a mirror. What's with punching the mirrors lately. There was a similar call like this a month or two agoa.
12:30pm--#Stratford CT--A resident on Barnum Terrace has found a gun and glove in his yard. Police were in the area earlier this evening looking for two males involved in an armed robbery. A brief foot pursuit resulted and a manhunt in the area but the suspects got away.
11:57pm--#Bridgeport CT--#cttraffic--Report of a crash on Route8/25 northbound near exit 5 a crash in the left lane. Bridgeport Police on scene EMS state police on the way.
10:15pm--#Bridgeport CT--Police peacefully end a hostage situation that started as a domestic situation on Cleveland Avenue.
10:11pm--#Bridgeport CT--Firefighters discover that it was food burning on a stove for the reason of smoke on the 2nd floor at University of Bridgeport's Cooper Hall.
7:24pm--#Stratford CT--A person was robbed by two black males in gray hooded sweatshirts on Regency Street. The two were spotted by police near Barnum Terrace where a foot pursuit occurred and they are still looking for them in the Barnum Terrace/Canaan Road area.
6:13pm--#Norwalk CT--Firefighters on the way to the Bow Tie Cinemas on Westport Avenue for a 5 year old girl stuck in her seat. The child is not in distress. Sounds like something I would have done as a kid.....
4:46pm--#Bridgeport CT--Firefighters on scene at Greene Homes building 3 with carbon monoxide readings. Maintenance and health department requested to the scene. UPDATE--Turns out someone is using a stove as their source of heat and they have been warned earlier today.

Police reported heavy smoke on the second floor but no fire. When firefighters arrived they found heavy fire in the basement which found its way to the upper levels. Homeowner Fred Savino told me that he was asleep with his wife and three children when fire broke out. "This first thing I did was go for the children" Savino told me. All made it out safely although the temperature was 13 degrees. The cold temperatures did cause some issues as the second fire hydrant firefighters attempted to get water from on Fairmont Avenue was frozen. Firefighters made…
