#Bridgeport CT--Representatives from Capital Power Corporation made a generous contribution today where the memorial will be outside police headquarters on Congress Street. The memorial is nearing the donations needed for the memorial. Officer Brian Pisanelli told me they hope to achieved the remaining funds through the sale of memorial bricks and pavers that will become part of the memorial. Man Charged With Sexual Assault
(Bridgeport, CT – July 23. 2013) –In a story we reported to you LIVE as it was breaking a 28-year-old man faces charges for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman Sunday. Arturo Hernandez, of Bridgeport, was charged with a series of offenses, including sexual assault, kidnapping and threatening. He was jailed on $250,000 bond. Officer John Carrano responded to the area of State and Seeley streets on a report of a sexual assault and located the victim, who is in her 30s and lives in Bridgeport. Police were directed to the area where the suspect fled. Carrano, Sgt. Ronald Mercado and Detective James Borrico searched the area. Man Assaulted at Illegal After-Hours Party
(Bridgeport, CT – July 23. 2013) – A city man suffered a severe laceration to his head Sunday after being struck with a bottle. Police were dispatched to the Pollo Emporium Café and Pizzeria at 3:12 a.m. on Sunday on a report of an assault and found the victim outside with three witnesses. Witnesses said the suspect was still inside the business. Officers Daniel Paz and Christopher Smith found the front and side doors locked and knocked but got no answer. The music and lights inside, however, suddenly were turned off. Paz then observed three people in the front room and instructed one of them to open the door.
