(Bridgeport, CT – June 20, 2013) – A 40-year-old man was arrested after an animated, hours-long stand-off with police Wednesday night. Devin Robinson, of 227 Edna St., cursed at police and threw household items at them from a third-floor window as they attempted to talk him out. The standoff began Wednesday at about 6:50 p.m. when Officer Stacey Lyons was dispatched to the location. She spoke to his ex-girlfriend, who stated that Robinson had been acting “crazy” for several days and moved most of his belongings out. 10:35pm--#Bridgeport CT--Shots were fired into the ground during an armed robbery on Williams Street. Taken from the victim was his cellphone by two males, one with braids and walks with a limp. Police are investigating.

Four police officers injured while evacuating two houses during a major fire Wednesday all have been discharged from the hospital. Officers John Carrano, Carlos Pabon, John Topolski and Matthew Goncalves all were treated for smoke inhalation after they arrived at 181 Poplar St. and worked to evacuate residents from that house and one next door. “They went above and beyond,” said police Capt. Robert Gearing, who checked Wednesday night on the officers. 10:16pm---#Bridgeport CT--EMS sending a second unit to Sanford Place for a stabbing. Two suspects, they stabbed each other........Three ambulances now, a woman was stabbed in the head, a man stabbed to the chest. There is a third victim but we don't have a status on them.
