#Westport CT -- On 04/01/2016, officers were dispatched to a medical facility on a report of an assault on an employee by a patient. The victim stated that Murdock punched him six times in the face with a closed fist, resulting in minor injury. An arrest warrant application was submitted and approved for Murdock. On 10/21/2017, Westport PD was contacted by the Naugatuck Police Department who had Murdock in custody. Officers traveled to Naugatuck and took custody of Murdock. At Westport headquarters, officers served the active arrest warrant charging Murdock with 53a-61 Assault 3 rd . He was released after posting $7,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Court on 10/31/17.
The Mill River Wetland Committee, Inc. (MRWC) is having a 50th Anniversary Fundraiser and wine tasting at the downtown Fairfield Museum and History Center, 370 Beach Road, Fairfield, CT 06824 on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. MRWC is a non-profit Fairfield organization with the mission to educate the community about the value of watersheds, to advocate for their continued protection, and to engage all people in the fight to protect our environment. MRWC sponsors the River-Lab Program, a hands-on educational program used in the Fairfield public and parochial schools in grades 3-6 to supplement the science curriculum. #Westport Ct-- At approximately 4:20 Monday afternoon, Westport Fire Department was dispatched to the area of 399 Post Road West, in front of Whole Foods Market, for a motor vehicle accident with reported injuries. Engine 4, Engine 2, Rescue 3 and an Assistant Chief responded to the call. Due to the location of the accident, Norwalk Fire Department also responded with one Engine and a Shift Commander. The first arriving units confirmed a car into a utility pole on Post Road West with one occupant still inside the car. There was significant intrusion into the driver’s side of the passenger compartment of the car due to the impact with the pole. The driver was trapped by the legs and required…
Westport Police UPDATE: Arrested for the above incident were Fernando Morales, 41, of Derby, CT and Rafael Valle, 34, of Bridgeport, CT. Morales was arrested and charged with C.G.S 53a-60 Assault 2nd, 53a-63 Reckless Endangerment 1 st and C.G.S 53a-181 Breach of Peace. He was released after posting $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Court on November 6 th . Valle was charged with 53a-63 Reckless Endangerment 1 st .
