#Stratford CT--On September 21, 2017, The Stratford Police Department Narcotics, Vice & Intelligence Unit concluded a nearly year long narcotics sales investigation into Robert Heyward age 35 of Stratford, CT. Stratford Narcotics Detectives, with the assistance of the Bridgeport Tactical Narcotics Team and the CT State Police Gang Unit executed search and seizure warrants on Stratford and Bridgeport residences. Deputy Chief Penna was hired in 1991 as a traffic agent and later entered the police academy as a special officer. He became a regular full-time officer in 1994 and worked his way through the ranks to Deputy Chief. He led a commendable and exemplary 26+ year career, over the course of which he received numerous commendations, awards and accolades.
