11:30am--#Westport, CT On Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at approximately 11:30 am officers responded to the intersection of Post Road East and Westfair Drive on a report of a serious motor vehicle accident with injuries. Investigation of this incident will necessitate an extended closure of the roadway. At the time of this writing, Post Road East is completely closed to traffic between the intersections of Maple Avenue and Bulkley Avenue. Traffic delays on Post Road East and the surrounding areas should be expected as a result of this closure. This traffic pattern is subject to change as the investigation continues, however, motorists should use Long Lots Road and/or Greens Farms Road as alternate routes around the accident scene.   This news…

Bridgeport News: Crash Closes Main Street

12:54pm--#Bridgeport CT--  A one-car crash on Main Street near Fairview Avenue had the road closed this afternoon.  Witnesses said the driver was driving at a high rate of speed before he hit two trees in the esplanade dividing the roadway.  Another witness said he heard popping sounds from the car's engine prior to hitting the trees, speculating the car might be having engine trouble.  The man driving the car had his foot stuck in the car, firefighters were called to extricate him but he freed himself prior to their arrival.  EMS transported the man to the hospital.

Westport News: Man Charged For Larceny/ID Theft Against His Employer

In July of 2016, Westport Officer James Sullivan took a complaint of a Larceny. The victim of this incident reported that he had an employee that had been working for him since 2014 and as of approximately January of 2016 has been embezzling money from the company. That employee is Donald Luciano, 45 of Bridgeport and he reportedly stole approximately $14,000.00. The victim stated that Luciano would be given the victim’s personal credit card to pay for things he needed to complete his job requirements, such as mailing items at the post office or buying things needed for the business.
