Westport Police Toy Drive

The Westport Police Department Local Union #2080 and Police Benevolent Association will be hosting their annual Holiday Toy Drive, which provides toys for underprivileged children throughout Fairfield County and beyond.  The program has been extremely successful in the past, allowing for thousands of toys to be distributed to children who otherwise would have none.     Westport Police Officers will accept new, unopened, and unwrapped toys, as well as cash donations, on the following Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM:   Saturdays, December 10 and 17 Sundays, December 11 and 18 at ASF Sports & Outdoors, 1560 Post Road East, Westport – Parking Lot   In case of inclement weather, please call the Westport Police Department at…

Bridgeport News: Rollover On Fairfield Avenue

7:19pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- A woman was injured as she came down the I-95 Fairfield Avenue ramp turning left onto Fairfield Avenue towards Fairfield. She some how squeezed her SUV between a lamp post and the utility pole in the picture that is split at the base. Her SUV continued up the embankment when it rolled over. EMS transported her to the hospital She was conscious and alert. You can expect to see this tomorrow night on A&E's Live PD as well.

Stratford News: Drug Arrest

#Stratford Connecticut--On December 6, 2017 investigators from the Narcotics Vice and Intelligence Unit completed an investigation into alleged cocaine sales in local bars. The investigation led to an arrest warrant for Evaristo Castro, age 56 of Bridgeport as well as a search warrant for Castro’s home at 295 Putnam Street (apt 1). Castro was taken into custody during a traffic stop and the search warrant executed immediately thereafter with the assistance of the Bridgeport Police Department. Seized was an SKS Rifle, approximately $18,749 dollars and 260 grams of cocaine.  Evaristo who is a convicted felon was charged with the below listed crimes.
