1:39pm--#Bridgpeport CT-- Firefighters responded to a Hazmat situation at the Turnid gas station at 624 E Main Street. According to radio reports, gasoline was siphoned from the in-ground tanks and it spilled into the street. The private hazmat team can be seen using speedy-dry type to absorb the gasoline.

#Westport, CT – First Selectman Jim Marpe and Historic District Commission (HDC) Chair Francis Henkels today announced that the Bridge Street National Register District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places by the National Park Service on April 19, 2018. 2:19pm--#Fairfield CT-- Two people were rescued as the tide started pulling them out off Pine Creek Avenue. At one point it sounded like both subjects were underwater at one point and then a paddleboarder may have aided them according to radio reports. 7:44pm--#cttraffic-- Stratford was in pursuit of a black Volkswagen on I-95 southbound. The vehicle got off exit 29 and the pursuit was terminated. State police picked up the pursuit again on I-95 southbound and they got off exit 26. It sounds like they got away again.
