Westport News: Hot Dog

#Westport CT--On July 19, 2017 at approximately 1130am, the Animal Control Officer (ACO) and police officers were dispatched to the Westport/Weston YMCA on a report of a dog left inside a vehicle. The caller was concerned because the outside temperature at the time of this call was into the 90s. When the ACO arrived, she immediately took temperature readings and found that the outside surface temperature of the vehicle was 136 degrees Fahrenheit and temperature inside the car was 113 degrees Fahrenheit. Worried that the animal was in imminent danger, the ACO entered the vehicle and removed the dog. Upon removal, the animal was panting heavily. Westport News: Not Exactly A Love Connection

On June 1, 2017 at approximately 5:00 p.m., the complainant came to the Westport Police Department to report an incident that occurred in Parker-Harding Plaza at 2:00 p.m. that same day. She stated that she met a man named James while at Starbuck’s. The complainant went on to say that after talking with James for a period of time, they decided to take a walk. While outside, the suspect allegedly forcibly grabbed the complainant’s arms and attempted to kiss her. The complainant was able to break free from his grip, and then she quickly left the area. Bridgeport News: Police Interview On Shooting Spree

#Bridgeport CT-- Police Chief AJ Perez and Captain Porter held a press conference stating the feel the shooting spree that covered multiple areas off North Avenue were connected. The shooting spree wound a man grazed by a bullet in the back of his head and a little girl inside her home after celebrating her fifth birthday was shot in the hand. Bridgeport News: 2 Shot Overnight

11:00PMish--#Bridgeport CT--Just before 11pm Sunday night police began receiving a number of 911 calls for shots fired. Calls from Lorraine Street, Petrie Street, Maplewood Avenue and Colorado Avenue. Police first found a man shot in the head, laying in the street on Maplewood Avenue near Laurel Avenue. The man's exact condition is not known but he was talking with paramedics. A short time later a five-year-old girl was reported shot in the hand about two blocks away at Maplewood and Colorado Avenue. I'm guessing she was hit by a stray bullet.
