Fairfield News: Bicyclist Hit

4:49pm--#Fairfield CT-- A bicyclist has been struck by a car in front of the condos at  1899 Stratfield Road according to radio reports.  It did appear that a car stopped and a woman was seen talking to police officers.  The officers were to busy with the scene to verify and the shift commander is tied up with the media on the train incident earlier.  The biker, a girl was conscious when she was put in the ambulance.

Southport News: Pedestrian Killed by Train

Metro North Railroad is reporting: The New Haven Line continued scattered residual delays of up to 30 mins due to earlier police activity near. Southport. UPDATE: Fairfield Police told me that it was a woman who attempted to jump in front of a southbound train but the train was able to stop in time.  She then was struck by a northbound Amtrak train headed to Boston.   Metro North has taken over the investigation. 1:57pm--#Metronorth--#Southport CT--A pedestrian has been struck and killed while on the tracks at the Southport Train Station.  Currently on track one is operational.

Governor Calls For Bipartisan Meetings On Budget

Fairfield News: Homeless Man Charged With Theft and Failure To Appear

Fairfield CT-- A Fairfield man whose address is listed as homeless was arrested for allegedly attempting to steal two nail guns from the Home Depot on Grasmere Avenue.  Justin Russ, 27 was apprehended by an off duty Stamford Police Officer in the parking lot.  It was discovered that Russ  had a $5,000 outstanding bond from New Canaan, a $50,000 bond from Berlin and a $25,000 bond from Bridgeport.  He was charged with Failure to Appear on the three separate charges. Governor Reaction To Gun Laws Being Upheld

Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Lt.
