11:11pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut--EMS were dispatched to a victim assaulted by an ax in the 300 block of William Street. As EMS arrived on scene someone started throwing things at the ambulance, one of the items a bicycle rim. EMS were not injured other than a scratch or two to the ambulance. Unknown if they ever located the ax victim.
10:27pm--#Fairfield Connecticut-- Police on patrol found a pickup truck that hit the side of Kohls Department the Greenfield Street side. No one was in the truck, but later found the driver at his residence on Longfellow Avenue. EMS is on the way to treat him, airbags were deployed and a star in the windshield is visible, usually indciateing the driver hit his head on the windshield.
9:50pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut--Firefighters were called to PT Barnum building 5 for an odor of smoke indoors. They found nothing after investigating but now you know what all the noise was about. This report is made possible by:

#Norwalk Connecticut--The Norwalk Department of Police Service participated in the statewide crack down on distracted driving during the month of April. Fifteen teams, consisting of five officers, were deployed for a total of twelve days from April 4 through April 26, 2016. The total violations cited are as follows: 1 distracted driving violation 1 DUI arrest made, driver had an outstanding arrest warrant 7 driving too fast for conditions (raining or snowing) 4 drivers found operating while under suspension 67 assorted moving violations Total: 367 arrests or citations. The total expense for the operation was $24,297.72 with the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation Highway Safety Office reimbursing $18,487.53.
