Police Pursuit Starting in Westport Ends in Trumbull
UPDATE: Rafael Vasquez, 25 of 181 Hampton Street, Hartford was arrested when the stolen vehicle he was riding in was spotted driving erratically near exit 18 in Westport. State Police attempted to pull the car over but lost sight of it near exit 16. Police learned the vehicle was stolen out of Mamaroneck, New York which lead to speculation from reporters that it may have been one of the escaped convicts from Clinton Correctional Facility on June 6. State Police fielded calls from People Magazine afterwards. Westport Police picked up the pursuit on Route 1 heading towards Fairfield and Fairfield Police entered the chase when they entered their town. Earlier it was reported as a motorcyclist struck and in critical condition at Bridgeport Hospital.. The driver of the striking vehicle did stop and is cooperating with police. Bridgeport News: Game Stop Robbery (With Video)
Bridgeport, Conn. (June 22, 2015) – Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a male responsible for an armed robbery. The incident occurred at the Game Stop located at 4571 Main St. on Friday at about 2 p.m. “Detectives are working hard to identify this individual,” said Deputy Police Chief Adam Radzimirski, who oversees the detective division. “We’re asking anyone who recognizes him to contact detectives.” The suspect displayed a knife and fled with money. Detectives are working with investigators in a neighboring town to determine if the suspect also is responsible for a robbery there on Thursday.
