Westport News: Regs On Animals on Town Properties

#Westport--Westport Parks & Recreation Director Jennifer Fava today reminded residents of regulations related to animals on Town Property. Effective April 1, animals will not be permitted at Compo, Old Mill, and Burying Hill Beaches. Animals in or out of vehicles will not be allowed on any beach property which includes all grass, sand, and parking areas, except Soundview parking lot at Compo Beach, as well as the roads within the beach area. The regulation is in effect until October 1. Cameras Installed At PT Barnum Complex

#Bridgeport Connecticut--The City of Bridgeport began installation of security cameras at PT Barnum complex on Tuesday.  The city plans on installing high definition cameras in all housing projects dubbed "Operation Virtual Shield".  Chief of Police A.J. Perez said the cameras will be able to rotate and zoom enough to read license plates off of cars.  The cameras will be monitored and recorded at the police command center.
