State Police K-9 To Get Body Armor

#MIDDLETOWN CT – February 24, 2016) - Connecticut State Police’s K-9 Jesse will receive a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. K9 Jesse’s vest is sponsored by MacKenzie Machine, Inc., of New Haven, CT, and will be embroidered with the sentiment “Keeping our dogs safe! In loving memory of BRP.” Delivery is expected within eight to ten weeks.  K9 Jesse has been assigned to Trooper First Class Scott Menard for the past 18 months and the K9 team is currently working at Troop H in Hartford. Bridgeport News: 4 Teens In Custody After Short Pursuit

7:31pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A pursuit of a stolen minivan ended almost as quickly as it began after a rollover accident.  Four teens tried to flee police down Highland Avenue and was on two wheels turning left onto Lyon Terrace which was a dead end.  The minivan landed on  a car.   At first it was thought the passengers were trapped but all four were able get out of the van on their own.  Three of the teens were taken to local hospitals.  A chicken dinner was found inside the car, I don't know if police suspect fowl play.  As I was walking back to my car near the police station the fourth suspect in cuffs was seen getting in the ambulance for…

#Milford Prostitution Bust

Milford CT (December 30, 2015) – Five adults and one juvenile were arrested after a multi-agency investigation into human trafficking and prostitution. On February 24, 2016 and February 25, 2016 the Connecticut State Police Statewide Organized Crime Investigative Task Force (SOCITF) and members of the Connecticut State Police Missing Persons Unit conducted a joint operation with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and the Milford Police Department targeting human trafficking in the form of underage prostitution.  The coordinated effort is part of a continued effort by Federal, State, and Local Law Enforcement agencies targeting those who facilitate or participate in the exploitation of minors in the sex trafficking business.
