Join us in the Rotary Room of the Fairfield Public Library, 1080 Old Post Road on Wednesday, February 24 at noon for a light-hearted hour of sparring about everything Find out which films should win and more importantly which films will probably win.  Diverse topics including the return of the Star Wars franchise, women’s pay equity through nominated films and those films that were passed over for  nomination will be topics of conversation. The presenters for this hour are Nicole Scherer, Teen Librarian and Philip Bahr, Reference Librarian. Fairfield News: Dunkin Donuts Dumpster Fire

10:50pm--#Fairfield CT--Police on patrol called in a dumpster fire behind the Dunkin Donuts at 200 Tunxis Hill Road.  Police question a woman who was seen in the Kohl's parking lot, asked why she didn't report it to the police nearby she said she was afraid because she was drinking in the lot.  Firefighters had no problem knocking it down preventing it from spreading elsewhere.  Police are investigating.

Bridgeport News: Sexual Assault

7:00pm ish-- A woman showed up to Bridgeport Police Headquarters on Congress Street to report she was sexually assaulted in the Bob's Discount Furniture parking lot which is located across the street from State Police Headquarters.  According to radio reports she was assaulted in a white Honda, possibly by a known person.   This report is made possible by:

Fairfield News: Andrews Family Statement

Kathleen Andrews issued a statement today after being released from the hospital.  The Andrews family was found by police reportedly stabbed and assaulted by a baseball bat just after 6am on February 16th.    Police had  fatally shot they husband Christopher Andrews after police had  said he walked towards him with a knife in the driveway of the home.
