#Fairfield CT--Developers broke ground on a multi-use area on Black Rock Turnpike at Commerce Drive, next door to Bigelow Tea which use to be the old Fitness Edge.  The facility is looking to attract  young professionals, commuters, empty-nesters with family ties to the community, who want urban conveniences, easy access to NYC with  101 residential apartment units comprised of 4 studios, 73 one- bedrooms, and 24 two-bedroom units.  There will also be 14,900 square feet of retail space on the ground floor as well as a covered rear arcade.   This development is projected to provide the town of Fairfield with 30-50 permanent jobs, 125-150 construction jobs according to a press release.    A Spring/Summer of 2017 completion date is expected.  The developers are BRCD…

Westport Police Chief Dale Call’s Retirement

#Westport CT--Westport First Selectman Jim Marpe announced today that he has accepted the retirement letter of Chief of Police Dale Call effective April 1, 2016.
