The Friends of the Fairfield Public Library will be having a Super Weekend, Mega Book Sale Friday, February 19 through Sunday, February 21. The sale will be held at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road, in the Rotary Room during regular library A wide selection of books, CDs and DVDs for adults and children will be specially priced, and the selection will be regularly updated throughout the sale. Only cash payments will be accepted The Friends of the Fairfield Public Library raise money to support Library programs such as One Book One Town, Soundwaves concerts, the Kershner Gallery, Author Luncheons, Mini Golf, and Children’s programs. #Westport, CT-- The Town of Westport has experienced multiple stolen vehicles and numerous vehicle break-ins during the month of January. In most cases, the keys were left in the unlocked vehicles. In all cases of vehicles being entered, which resulted in thefts, the doors were unlocked. The recent thefts have occurred primarily overnight. The Westport Police Department reminds you to please lock your car and bring your keys inside. Please remember to take valuables out of your car for the night, such as purses, wallets and electronics. It is also good practice to keep outside lights on and motion lights activated. 10:56pm--#Trumbull CT--- #Bridgeport CT-- There was a manhunt in Old Town/Chopsey Hill area for two Hispanic males wanted in robbery, a firearm was displayed which Trumbull Police recovered. After a manhunt for about an hour in the wooded areas police apprehended both suspects. Bridgeport Police assisted in the manhunt and translation.
