Bridgeport News: Fire At St. Vincent’s Hospital

12:24am--#Bridgeport CT--Firefighters were called for an activated fire alarm at St. Vincent's Medical Center at 2800 Main Street.  They discovered a heavy smoke condition in the basement.  The called for additional freighters to the scene to help investigate.  They discovered a dryer fire near the loading dock area.  As usual the firefighters quickly extinguished the fire.  St. Vincent's then started diverting emergency patients to other hospitals.

Fairfield News: Weekly Pursuit From Bridgeport to Fairfield

4:18pm--#Fairfield CT--#Bridgeport CT--Another chase starting in Bridgeport and onto I-95 came to an end at exit 22.  The car ran off the shoulder of the exit crashing into a light pole.  The suspects ran behind the church next to the exit but police caught them a short time later.   Have you noticed Facebook isn't showing you our posts in real time anymore? State and State Police Union Reach Tentative Contract Agreement

Formal contract negotiations between the State of Connecticut and the Connecticut State Police Union have concluded.  The parties have reached a tentative agreement on a three-year successor contract effective July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2018.  The Union is in the process of seeking ratification of the Agreement from its members.  Once the Agreement is ratified, the State shall submit it to the Legislature for approval pursuant to Section 5-278 of the Connecticut General Statutes.   The basic wage terms are as follows: A three percent (3%) general wage increase effective July 1, 2015. Fairfield News: Dog Shot–With VIDEO

7:50pm--#Fairfield CT--Police were called to Jennings Road and Prince Street for shots fired.  According to police a man was walking dogs when he said he was attacked by a stray dog.  He fired a shot hitting the dog in the rear quarter.  The dog then ran to Prince Street where police located him.  Animal Control rushed the dog to Norwalk Animal Hospital for surgery for non life threatening gunshot.  The man was taken into custody and a .380 Colt handgun was recovered.  I do not know if the man will be charged.
