Bridgeport Police UPDATE: – Today, the Bridgeport Police Department is asking the public for assistance in identifying suspects following an incident that involved a burglary and robbery.  On September 14, 2015 at around 1:15 p.m., police officers responded to a 911 call regarding an alleged burglary and robbery near the corner of Ezra St. and Fairview Ave.  When police officers arrived on scene, a male victim alleged that he was robbed at gunpoint by three suspects. In addition, the suspects stole cash and methadone from his home. Bridgeport News: Man Shot 7 Times

Bridgeport, Conn. (September 13, 2015) -- Early this morning, the Bridgeport Police Department responded to a non-fatal shooting near Stratford Ave. & Newfield Ave. At 3:30 a.m., police officers responded to a call about shots fired in the area of Stratford Ave. & Newfield Ave. The 24 year-old male victim suffered seven gunshot wounds in the chest and abdomen area.
