Monroe News: House Fire

2:44am--#Monroe CT--Firefighters are on scene of a house fire at 11 Fox Run.  Firefighters reporting on scene are reporting the house engulfed in flames.  It is in an area with hydrants.  UPDATE: 3:26am--Firefighters reporting the bulk of the fire has been knocked down.  Trumbull and Shelton have been providing mutual aid to cover the empty fire stations in Monroe as they fought this blaze.  No injuries have been reported.

Fairfield News: Rollover Accident

12:00am--#Fairfield CT--Police are investigating the cause of this crash on Old Stratfield Road and Alvin Street tonight.  Many neighbors were saying how they were just falling asleep when they heard the loud crash.  The SUV hit the back of the Dodge Durango up onto the curb and into another parked car.  If the crash did wake them the car's horn would have woken them, it was sounding for a good ten minutes before firefighters could stop it.  Assistant Fire Chief George Gomola told me everyone was out of the car on firefighters arrival and the injuries are not serious.
