Bridgeport Police UPDATE: – Today, the Bridgeport Police Department is asking the public for assistance in identifying suspects following an incident that involved a burglary and robbery. On September 14, 2015 at around 1:15 p.m., police officers responded to a 911 call regarding an alleged burglary and robbery near the corner of Ezra St. and Fairview Ave. When police officers arrived on scene, a male victim alleged that he was robbed at gunpoint by three suspects. In addition, the suspects stole cash and methadone from his home. And, one of the suspects allegedly pistol whipped the male victim. Police officers and the K-9 unit chased the three teenage black male suspects into a wooded area behind the victim's home. However, the suspects got…

Bridgeport, Conn. (September 13, 2015) -- Early this morning, the Bridgeport Police Department responded to a non-fatal shooting near Stratford Ave. & Newfield Ave. At 3:30 a.m., police officers responded to a call about shots fired in the area of Stratford Ave. & Newfield Ave. The 24 year-old male victim suffered seven gunshot wounds in the chest and abdomen area. The victim was transported in a private vehicle to Bridgeport Hospital where he is in critical but stable condition (Bridgeport Press Release) This report made possible by:
