On September 11, 2015 at approximately 5:00 a.m. the Stratford Police Department executed a search warrant at 25 Yarwood St. in their town. During the course the search warrant, the accused approached Stratford Police Officers with a weapon – not a firearm. The suspect disobeyed orders to stop, resulting in a Stratford Police Officer discharging his duty weapon at the suspect. The suspect received non-life-threatening injuries as a result. There were no reported injuries to Stratford Police Officers. The suspect was treated for his injuries, and transported to Bridgeport hospital for further evaluation. 2:42am--#Bridgeport CT-- A large fire at 410 Hollister Avenue. The second and third story building was fully involved when firefighters arrived. The apartments are vacant and no one was found inside when firefighters searched. The firefighters had this huge blaze under control within 20 minutes. There were no reported injuries reported on the radio transmissions. The fire marshal was called to the scene to investigate the cause.
UPDATE: Bridgeport Police Press Release: Early this morning, the Bridgeport Police Department responded to a non-fatal shooting incident in which two people were shot, and one injured. At 2:05 a.m., police officers responded to a call about an alleged shooting incident in the area of William St. & Crescent Ave. Upon arrival, police officers found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds, and another victim who suffered non-weapon induced injuries to the head. The first victim, a 25 year-old male, suffered a gunshot wound to the left foot. He was taken to Bridgeport Hospital where he is currently in stable condition.
