The celebration started at Bridgeport Police Headquarterswhere Karla will was presented with a proclamation from Mayor Bill Finch and the Bridgeport Police Department. 1:30is--#Bridgeport CT--Just after 1:30am Thursday morning firefighters responded to a car fire on North Avenue near Carlton Avenue (just past Freedom Fuels). The car appeared to be in an accident hitting another car and was fully engulfed in flames when I arrived. Police said the operator of the car had enough time to remove the plates before fleeing the scene.
