Bridgeport Police Arrest Robbery Suspect
#Bridgeport, CT – Oct. 7, 2014 – A 31-year-old city man was arrested Monday in connection with a commercial armed robbery. Detective Martin Heanue secured an arrest warrant for Jason Marrero on Oct. 1 related to an Aug. 5., 2014, robbery of East Coast Auto Parts at 14 River St., in which two individuals held up employees at the business. Police secured video footage from the scene and also a baseball hat that fell off one of the suspects during the robbery, among other items. As the investigation progressed, detectives developed information identifying Marrero, who uses the nickname J-Hood, as one of the people responsible for the robbery.
