#Bridgeport CT--Police have made an arrest in connection to the shooting today at Beechwood and Norman Street. William Merrero, 29 was shot multiple times in the head and chest, he is expected to survive the incident.

11:30ish--#Bridgeport CT--Detectives are investigating a serious shooting that happened this morning at approximately 11:30 a.m.near the corner of Beechwood Avenue and Norman Street. Police have a tentative identification on the victim, who is believed to be in his late 20s or early 30s. Detective are working to confirm his identity, so the name is not being released at this time. Detectives are being told by medical staff that he is expected to survive. He appears to have been shot multiple times in the head and chest. The investigation remains in its early stages.

11:54am--#Bridgeport CT-- Report of shots fired on Beechwood Ave. A white car was involved, and has since fled the scene.
