Carjacking
12:39am–#Bridgeport CT–A woman was sitting in her boyfriend’s white cleaning van on Gurdon Street when she was assaulted inside the vehicle by a man wearing a mask. The suspect took the van and headed towards Capitol Avenue. No weapons was displayed.
12:55am–#UPDATE–The van has been located on Summitt and Ezra Street with the boyfriend beat up. It may have been the boyfriend attacked not the woman. This is the challenge of radio reporting. Police are investigating and EMS on the way

Mayor Bill Finch and family hosted the city’s annual Christmas Tree lighting on McLevy Green Friday night. Mike Bellamy of WICC 600AM served as Master of Ceremonies. Live entertainment, local choirs and the Park City Pride Combined Alumni Drum and Bugle Corps made for a lively presentation. Santa Claus also made an appearance.
