AMAZON DRIVER INJURED WITH A WEAPON IN POSSIBLE ROBBERY IN THE SOUTH END ON TUESDAY MORNING The Bridgeport Police Department's Detective Bureau is investigating the injury of an Amazon delivery driver with a weapon Tuesday morning in what was likely an attempted robbery. Shortly before noon Tuesday, the injured driver pulled up to a Metropolitan Transit Authority police officer working at Railroad Avenue and Myrtle Avenue and reported he was just slashed in the face with a weapon on Park Terrace in the city's South End. He was bleeding heavily. The driver was transported to St. Vincent's Hospital by ambulance with a significant wound to his face. It is not considered life-threatening.
