Westport Provides Flood Recovery Update

WESTPORT, CT — Following yesterday’s significant flooding throughout Westport, Town crews continue working to evaluate roads, drainage systems, public infrastructure and other affected areas. Residents may continue to encounter standing water, debris, and other impacts as cleanup and inspections proceed. Residents should continue to remain cautious and avoid areas that may still be hazardous. Westport emergency responders handled 130 flood-related calls, rescued 13 people from vehicles and evacuated five residents from a care facility.
