Bridgeport, CT – The Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection (DESPP), Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security (DEMHS), has activated CrisisTrack to collect reports of flood-related damages and unmet needs resulting from the September 13th flooding event.
Residents and households throughout Connecticut who were impacted by the flooding are encouraged to complete the CrisisTrack Damage Reporting Survey. The information collected will assist state and local emergency management officials in documenting and assessing the impacts of the flooding and identifying community needs.
Residents can submit a damage report through the CrisisTrack survey no later than September 22nd:

A QR code for the survey may also be distributed throughout the community to provide residents with convenient access to the reporting system.
“It’s important that every Bridgeport resident who experienced flooding or property damage takes a few minutes to complete this survey,” said Mayor Joe Ganim. “Whether it was a flooded basement, damage to your home, furniture or personal belongings, a vehicle, or another flood-related loss, we want to make sure it’s included. The more accurately we can document the impact of this storm across our city, the better positioned Bridgeport and the state will be to demonstrate the need for potential federal disaster assistance and recovery resources.”
The survey is intended for information-gathering purposes only. Submitting a damage report does not guarantee that an individual or household will receive financial assistance. However, reporting damage and unmet needs help ensure that the impacts of the flooding are properly documented. The information collected may be used to help determine whether the State of Connecticut is eligible for potential post-disaster programs through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and/or the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

State and local emergency management officials encourage residents to share the CrisisTrack reporting information with family members, friends, neighbors, and others who may have been affected by the September 13th flooding.
