BRIDGEPORT POLICE ARREST MAN INVOLVED IN HIT-AND-RUN
On March 19, 2025, at approximately 9:42 a.m., the Bridgeport Emergency Operations Center received multiple calls reporting a pedestrian had been struck at the intersection of Fairfield Avenue and Ellsworth Street. American Medical Response, Bridgeport Fire Engine 7, and Bridgeport Police Officers were dispatched to the location. Officers were advised that the responsible SUV had fled the scene. Upon arrival, Bridgeport Police Officers observed a female pedestrian lying face down in the eastbound lane at the intersection of Fairfield Avenue and Ellsworth Street. American Medical Response and Bridgeport Fire Engine 7 personnel arrived and rendered aid.
