We’ve received a report that a 9 year old girl had burned a significant amount of her hair off with a lighter similar to the type used to light BBQ grills. She does have some burns to her scalp and face, but non-life threatening. While the fire department was on scene there was a large scale domestic incident at the home and police was called to the scene. The police intervened and the child was transported to the hospital. EMS crew reports that the mom was extremely agitated and was tailgating the ambulance with her vehicle. The EMS crew asked for hospital security to await their arrival and separate mom from both the crew and the girl until she can calm down.
