10 Homeless After This Fire

Approximately 3:10am firefighters received a call of a structure fire at 26/28 Clinton Avenue possibly with trapped children, unknown floor. By 3:15 first units arrived and found heavy fire in the rear and that the building and it was occupied on the first floor. Initial searches found no one trapped and primary searches confirmed this. The fire was confined to the third story in the rear of the building. The video does show heavy smoke and water damage throughout the building. By 3:26am the bulk of the fire had been knocked down and firefighters continued working fire extensions into the building. Three fire lines were used in the attack. Around 4am command reported there were 4 adults and 6 children left homeless from this fire. The occupants took care of their own living arrangements and that the Red Cross was not needed.
