Fairfield–Around noontime today Letter Carrier Luz Gongzalez was on her routine loop to deliver mail when she came to 62 Marlborough Terrace.  That’s when she found a note under the door written by the occupant that she had fallen and had been there since last night.  Luz immediately called 911 and ran down the road to the woman’s sister in law who opened the door.  According to the sister in law who did not want to go on camera, the woman had fallen may have broken her hip.  She was upstairs at the time and managed to crawl down the stairs but was unable to reach the telephone to call for help.  She even managed to get a blanket and cover her self for the night.

“It’s our duty” said humbly by  Luz Gongzalez, “Whatever I can do I’m here to help”.  She continued on her route as if nothing happened.   The sister in law said she will be calling Life Alert her and her sister in law.  The woman was taken to the hospital for further evaluation.
