Bridgeport–Police have arrested one man in connection with the shooting last month that struck and wounded a 3 year old child last month. Anthony “Wompy” Small, 20, who was shot in the hand during the shooting, was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshal Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force at a home in Waterbury. He is being held by a $250,000 bond. Chief of Police Joseph Gaudette said in a press conference Thursday evening “The fact that this involved an innocent 3-year-old girl in a broad daylight shooting in a residential neighborhood where people need to be able to walk safely and freely about that really hit home for us.” Connecticut Post is reporting This was not the first time Small was shot. On Feb. 25 he also sustained a gun shot wound to his buttocks outside Club Lo, along with his brother, Terik “Pig” Williams, according to the arrest warrant affidavit of Det. Michael Fiumidinisi. Williams died five days later, becoming the city’s fifth homicide victim of 2012.
