Researchers have found that the virus that causes cold sores, along with other viral or bacterial infections, might be associated with memory loss, and if further studies establish such a link, it could eventually prove helpful in preventing strokes or Alzheimer’s disease.  NBC News has the full story here…..

  1. Very interesting discovery. I too know of a subject who has occasional bouts of Herpes Simplex and he does complain of specific types of memory loss.
    In particular people’s names, people he knpws well as well as celebreties names. I feel that follow up on this theory might proove fruitfuil.
