Westport Ct- the Westport Police responded to a report from a duck hunter of a body floating in the mouth of the Saugatuck River. The hunter who was in a kayak stayed with the body until Detectives assisted by the Westport Fire Department launched a boat and responded to retrieve the body.

The body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Farmington CT and the incident is currently under investigation by the Westport Police Detective Bureau. Identification of the deceased will be pending notification of the family and more information will be forthcoming as it is developed.
