Fairfield News: Police seek help in identifying bank robbers

On January 27, 2013 at 12:06 pm, a bank robbery was reported from the Fairfield  County Credit Union at 1515 Black Rock Tpke., Fairfield, CT. Three suspects arrived a 1996 Buick Century, 4 door, color blue, CT reg. 136-XYB. It was later learned that it was stolen from Trumbull Avenue Bridgeport, CT that morning.  The vehicle is still active and has not been recovered. One male operator stayed in the vehicle and was described as wearing a red jacket. The other two males entered the bank, one wearing a blue hooded sweat shirt. Violent Domestic Incident Leads to Arrest

#Bridgeport, CT – Jan. 27, 2014 – A 29-year-old city man faces charges related to a domestic dispute Friday night with his estranged wife. Officer Mark Blackwell responded to the 100 block of Cleveland Avenue and spoke with a woman, who stated she was concerned about the safety of her friend. She stated that her friend had called her about two hours earlier and stated that she and her children were leaving with her estranged husband. A short time later, the victim called her grandmother pleading for help before the line disconnected. Woman Charged With Stealing From Her Employer

#Bridgeport, CT – Jan. 27, 2014 – A Shelton woman faces larceny and computer crimes charges for stealing nearly $9,000 from a Bridgeport company for which she worked as a bookkeeper. Detective Frank Podpolucha, who works in the police financial crimes unit, secured a warrant charging Leigh Margiano, 28, with second-degree forgery, third-degree larceny and second-degree computer crimes. On Jan. 9, Bridgeport Financial Crimes Unit received a larceny complaint from Connecticut Tank Removal, Inc., a Bridgeport business located at 118 Burr St., reporting employee theft. Specifically, the company stated that Margiano issued four business checks valuing $8,811.91 for her personal benefit.   Margiano's job responsibilities included bookkeeping and accounts payable management. The checks were issued between June and September of last year.…
