10:27am–#Fairfield CT–An elderly woman stopped at Hemlock Hardware on the Post Road this morning. As she was leaving, her foot slipped off the brake and hit the gas. The car lunged forward hitting the building. The woman was not injured. Damage to the building was to the foundation’s cinder blocks. The building inspector was called to inspect. If the damage was significant, our friends at Servpro would have made it like it never even happened.
