Westport CT- Westport Police responded to the Subway Restaurant located at #903 Post Rd East on a

reported robbery. Employees of the store indicated that an individual entered the store at approximately 10:10 am, he is described as a black male, 6’ tall, muscular build wearing a dark blue hoodie, dark grey or black pants, a black ski type mask with only his eyes exposed, black gloves and displayed a silver colored handgun.

The employees retreated to the rear of the store at the sight of the armed individual and he then went behind the counter and removed the cash box from the register. After the robbery the suspect fled the area eastbound, on foot, towards the intersection of Cedar Rd, carrying the registers cash box in his hands.

The area was searched immediately after the robbery by Westport Police with the assistance of the Norwalk Police K-9 unit and at this point the suspect is still at large. Anyone with information regarding this incident should call the Westport Police Department, Detective Bureau at 203-341-6080.
