Bridgeport Police Press Release:

#Bridgeport, Conn. (Jan. 31, 2015) — Detectives are investigating a shooting today that happened on Trumbull Avenue near Terrace Circle.
The victim, identified as Khyren Best, 14, of Bridgeport, was walking with two other males  at approximately 2:30 p.m. when a vehicle pulled up and the driver fired several shots. The teen was struck in the buttocks. The vehicle was described as a silver-colored car.
The victim was taken in a private vehicle to Saint Vincent’s Medical Center, and his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.  Police are interviewing witnesses. The victim was not able to provide specific details about what occurred.
