Bridgeport and Stratford Police Investigate Two Deaths The Bridgeport and Stratford police Monday are investigating two deaths and any potential connection. Earlier today, police investigating the disappearance of Minnie Lincoln, a 57-year-old Bridgeport woman, located human remains in a marshy area behind an industrial on Watson Boulevard in Stratford. Bridgeport and Stratford Police, with the assistance of the Connecticut State Police and the FBI, had been investigating her disappearance since she was reported missing on  March 31. Police developed strong leads and today began a search in the Watson Boulevard area and located human remains. Westport News: Restaurant Larcenies

On September 15th, 2014 the General Manger of the restaurant Post 154 located at 154 Post Road East reported that one of its employees had stolen money from the business. The investigation into the details of the larcenies revealed that the employee would void out items in the dinner checks which never made it to the bank. In total it was determined that the accused had stolen $35,794.55 over a 6 month period. It was also learned that the suspect had forged checks made out to former employees and then endorsing the checks herself, stealing the funds.   On April 3rd 2015 Officers responded to the Norwalk Police Department and took custody of Sarina Clark. Nonprescription Drugs Tax Free

Governor Dannel P. Malloy announced last week that as the result of a new state law he introduced and signed last year, nonprescription drugs and medications are exempt from sales taxes in Connecticut beginning today.   “Making nonprescription medications exempt from the sales tax will mean lower costs for consumers while ultimately leading to a better public health outcome for all,” Governor Malloy said.  “Preventative care is a necessity, and by eliminating these sales taxes, we are helping our residents save some money, stay healthy, and improve quality of life.”   “Connecticut’s leadership on healthcare means stronger families and a more competitive economy,” Lt. Route 8 Shutdown, One Dead
