#Bridgeport, Conn. (October 21, 2015) — Today the Bridgeport Police Department is alerting the public that a man arrested for a non-violent burglary is currently at large.  On October 20, 2015 at around 6:30 a.m., Nelson Vega (01/03/86) of Henry St. in Stratford was arrested and booked for burglary.Nelson Vega

 

On October 21, 2015 at approximately 9:30 a.m., police officers began the process of transferring Vega from the Bridgeport Police Department to the Golden Hill St. courthouse to be arraigned.  While being transferred Vega escaped police custody. The Bridgeport Police Department and nearby Police Departments are actively pursuing Vega.

 

The Bridgeport Police Department is asking that anyone with knowledge of the whereabouts of Vega contact the Bridgeport Detective Bureau at (203) 581-5201.
