#Bridgeport CT–Christmas Eve at 5:17pm, a 14 year old boy named Luis Colon (of 238 Wood Ave) was murdered in front of the Stylz Barber Shop at Michael Majors1156 State Street. He had been standing near a group of about ten males on the sidewalk in front of the shop when two men, Michael Majors (DOB: 7/24/92 of 840 State St) and Trey Kaiser (DOB: 3/11/98 of 840 State Street), approached the group. Major immediately opened fire on the men. The incident was captured on a nearby security camera. It did not appear that Colon was the intended target. He was struck in the chest by a bullet and died a short time later at Saint Vincent’s Hospital. At least one man in the crowd returned fire and struck Kaiser in the leg. He arrived a short time later at Saint Vincent’s to be treated for his wound.

Thanks to the assistance of Sgt Amato and Dave Edwards, Majors was identified as a suspect early on. When detectives interviewed Majors, he initially denied any involvement, but then confessed to being the shooter. He was arrested and charged with Murder. He is being held on $1,000,000 bond.
